Professional Experience:

Worked as a development professional with over 4 years of hands-on experience in livelihood promotion, enterprise management, and large-scale programme implementation. I currently serve as CEO-In-Charge of Annapoorna Jeevika Food Products Producer Company Ltd. under BRLPS, and also work as a Young Professional at the State Project Management Unit, Patna. In this role, I lead the overall strategy, operations, and financial management of a women-owned producer company engaged in institutional food services and community-based livelihood enterprises. I oversee the expansion and smooth functioning of Didi Ki Rasoi across multiple government departments and institutions, ensuring statutory compliance, quality standards, efficient procurement systems, and sustainable business operations. My work involves close coordination with the Government of Bihar departments, district administrations, and institutional partners, while continuously mentoring SHG women and staff to build strong, self-sustaining, and scalable enterprises.

With Bihar Rural Livelihoods Promotion Society (BRLPS – JEEViKA), I have worked across Block, District, and State levels as a Young Professional, Block Project Manager, and District Thematic Lead (Livelihoods). During this period, I implemented key livelihood programmes such as the Start-up Village Entrepreneurship Programme (SVEP) and Satat Jeevikoparjan Yojana (SJY), supporting rural families and entrepreneurs in establishing and strengthening sustainable livelihood opportunities. I led the planning and execution of major livelihood initiatives, including Didi Ki Rasoi and Didi Ka Silai Ghar, while mentoring and managing large multidisciplinary field teams across districts. My responsibilities included programme planning, budgeting, monitoring, documentation, and stakeholder coordination with NRLM, banks, and line departments. I also contributed strategic and policy-level inputs to strengthen programme implementation, improve operational efficiency, and enhance long-term impact.

My early professional experiences with Aga Khan Rural Support Programme – India, SEVA Mandir, and Bihar Horticulture Development Society helped me develop a strong grounding in grassroots development, impact assessment, and participatory research. I worked on skill and livelihood mapping, socio-economic assessments, and policy-oriented studies, which strengthened my ability to design evidence-based and community-centered interventions.

With academic training in Development Management and a deep commitment to inclusive and sustainable growth, I focus on building practical, scalable, and people-centered solutions. My work is driven by the goal of strengthening community institutions, enabling women’s economic empowerment, and creating sustainable livelihood opportunities that generate long-term social and economic impact.

Education:

I completed my Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Botany from Veer Kunwar Singh University. With the objective of building a career in the development and public systems sector, I pursued a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management (Development Management) from the Development Management Institute (DMI), Patna. The programme is designed to develop professionals capable of working effectively in development, governance, and social sector institutions.

During the course, I studied key subjects such as development economics, rural livelihoods, public systems, governance, management, project planning, and monitoring and evaluation. The programme emphasized inclusive development, participatory approaches, and evidence-based decision-making, which helped me gain a clear understanding of community institutions and grassroots development processes.

An important part of the programme was field immersion and multiple internships in rural and development settings. These provided practical exposure to working with community institutions, self-help groups, and local stakeholders. Through these experiences, I developed skills in community mobilization, social research, data analysis, participatory planning, and programme implementation, along with a strong understanding of ground-level development challenges.

Overall, my educational background has provided me with a balanced combination of theoretical knowledge and practical field experience, preparing me to contribute effectively to government and development sector initiatives focused on inclusive growth, sustainable livelihoods, and community-centred development.

Affiliations and Achievements:

I have actively contributed to programme implementation and institutional development in the livelihoods and community enterprise sector. A key achievement includes supporting the successful planning and execution of Saras Mela, which enhanced market access, visibility, and income opportunities for self-help group members and rural producers, while strengthening my skills in coordination, operations, and stakeholder management.

I also played a significant role in the formation and strengthening of the apex institution for the Jeevika Didi Ki Rasoi initiative — Annapoorna Jeevika Food Products Producer Company Limited (AJFPPLC), a women-led institutional food service enterprise promoting sustainable livelihoods and economic empowerment. My contribution focused on institutional development, operational planning, and systems strengthening, supporting the growth and stabilization of the initiative.

Further, I facilitated new livelihood opportunities by leveraging convergence with the Welfare Department and Police Line institutions, enabling community enterprises to access institutional markets and expand sustainable income avenues.

These achievements reflect my strengths in programme implementation, institutional development, convergence building, and promoting women-led livelihood enterprises within government and development sector frameworks.
