Professional Experience:

I am a dedicated Communication Specialist with extensive experience spanning over a decade in the fields of strategic communication, media management, and public relations. Currently, I serve as a Communication Manager at the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), New Delhi, where I am seconded to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). In this role, I oversee communication strategies, manage stakeholder engagement, and promote the organization’s humanitarian initiatives at both national and international levels. Prior to this, I worked as an Associate Manager in Communications at CAF India (Charities Aid Foundation), based in New Delhi. My responsibilities included developing communication campaigns, managing digital outreach, and fostering relations with partner organizations to enhance the visibility and impact of charitable programs. This role strengthened my ability to craft compelling narratives and leverage digital platforms for social good. From May 2018 to October 2019, I served as a Documentation and Communication Officer at the WASH Institute, New Delhi. This position was part of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs’ Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban), where I was responsible for producing content, managing documentation, and coordinating outreach activities to promote sanitation and urban hygiene initiatives across India. My work contributed to increased awareness and community engagement in key urban health campaigns. In addition to my professional roles, I have a rich background in volunteering and academic pursuits. I volunteered with Robinhood Army, actively participating in educational drives at Ramesh Park, New Delhi, which provided me with grassroots experience in community engagement and social mobilization. From August 2017 to January 2018, I served as Deputy Manager of Media and Communication at SEEDS, New Delhi. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Communication Specialist/Consultant at the National Institute of Agricultural Economics and Policy Research (NIAP), ICAR, Pusa, New Delhi. Prior to my doctoral studies, I earned a Master of Social Work (MSW) through distance education from J.R.N Rajasthan Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur. This program equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of social issues, community development, and social welfare initiatives, fostering a holistic perspective on societal communication and intervention strategies. In addition, I have an MBA with a specialization in Human Resources, obtained with distinction (85%) from SHIATS, Allahabad, through distance learning. This qualification has enhanced my managerial skills, understanding of organizational behavior, and human resource development, enabling me to approach communication from a strategic and organizational perspective. My academic credentials also include a Master of Arts in Advertising and Public Relations from Makhanlal Chaturvedi National University of Journalism & Communication, Bhopal, where I secured a commendable 70.13%. This program refined my skills in media strategies, branding, public relations, and effective communication techniques, preparing me to excel in dynamic media environments. Furthermore, I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Honors) degree in Mass Communication & Video Production from Karim City College, Jamshedpur, affiliated with Ranchi University. Graduating with distinction (81%), this program provided me with a solid foundation in media production, visual communication, and journalistic practices, fostering creativity and technical expertise. My educational journey commenced with my Intermediate studies under the Bihar Intermediate Education Council (B.I.E.C) and culminated in my secondary education from Gyan Bharti Bodh Gaya, Bihar, where I completed my 10th grade under the CBSE curriculum. These formative years laid the groundwork for my academic pursuits and professional ambition. Patna, Bihar.
