Professional Experience:
With over three decades of professional experience in the power and utilities sector, having provided consulting services to clients in countries including India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Ghana, Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Thailand.
I have expertise in a variety of areas, including policy and regulatory advocacy, organizational design and capacity building, performance improvement through business process reengineering and digital transformation, and program management of large-scale transformation projects. I have provided advisory support to various government agencies, utilities, and international organizations in India. He has been involved in projects in multiple states including Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Himachal Pradesh, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Odisha, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal, which had received funding from the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, and the Department for International Development. He has worked with major companies such as the North Delhi Power Limited (now known as Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited) and the REC Limited, as well as industry associations such as the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturer’s Association and the Indian Chamber of Commerce. In addition to my work in India, I have also provided guidance to power sector clients in countries such as Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Nigeria, Sri Lanka, Tanzania (Zanzibar), Thailand, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Through my work, I have helped in improving the lives of individuals by increasing access to reliable and affordable electricity, while also transforming the business processes and organizational capabilities of utilities to enable them to more effectively and efficiently generate, transmit, distribute, and supply electricity. As a result of my efforts, citizens have seen significant improvements in their livelihood options and socio-economic conditions.
My key clients in the past included - State Governments, State Electricity Regulatory Commissions (SERCs) and Utilities in the Indian states of Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Meghalaya, Odisha, Tripura, Uttar Pradesh and West Bengal and outside India in countries of India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Ghana, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Nepal, Nigeria, Tanzania (Zanzibar) and Thailand; Domestic Financial Institutions like the Rural Electrification Corporation Limited (REC); and, International Development Agencies such as the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and the Department for International Development (Government of the United Kingdom).
