I have built a strong career in Food Science & Nutrition, excelling in roles that blend teaching, research, and policy. As an Assistant Professor at Institute of Home Economics College and Lady Irwin College, I not only taught insightful lectures but also guided students through research projects, emphasizing practical applications in the field. My consultancy at The World Bank involved analyzing data and shaping policies aimed at combating obesity through innovative food systems in South Asia.

My thesis was focused on "Arsenic concentration in Rice (Oryza sativa) and its fractions produced in the Trans Indo-Gangetic Plain of India, its Source and Effect of Cooking." This groundbreaking research provided significant insights into the levels of arsenic in rice and its impact on food safety and public health. My exceptional work earned me the prestigious Anupa Sahi Siddhu Gold Medal Award for excellence in Doctoral work, underscoring my dedication and expertise in the Food Science and Nutrition field.
