Education:
Dr. Anurag Telang, a public health professional with a background in dental surgery, completed his Master’s in Public Health–Health Administration (MPH-HA) from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai. The program equipped him with a strong foundation in health systems, program management, and data-driven decision-making. His coursework included epidemiology, biostatistics, health economics, policy, and program planning.
Prior to this, he earned his Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from MUHS, Nashik, which provided him with a clinical understanding of patient care, disease prevention, and healthcare delivery. This clinical grounding enables him to integrate medical insight with public health approaches.
As part of his academic training, Dr. Telang conducted a dissertation titled “Click to Consult: Akola’s Perceptions of Telemedicine,” where he led a quantitative study with 250 participants to assess knowledge, attitudes, and practices related to telemedicine. This strengthened his skills in study design, data collection, and statistical analysis.
He has also completed certifications in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and systematic literature review, enhancing his understanding of ethical research standards and evidence synthesis.
