Pradeep Kumar is a results-driven and accomplished National Director with over 23 years of experience in the non-profit sector, specializing in designing and leading impactful education programs on a national scale. Recognized for his expertise in program design & development, strategic planning, and team management, Pradeep is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through innovative educational initiatives. Leveraging a proven track record of success, Pradeep is committed to driving positive social change and fostering K12 & lifelong learning opportunities for diverse under-resourced populations. He plays a crucial role in expanding the organization's work throughout India, focusing on government and affordable private schools. Tasked with implementing the regional strategy, Pradeep offers technical expertise to all partners based in India.
Pradeep has managed numerous educational, health, protection, livelihood and humanitarian programs in the last two decades with various NGOs. This work has been carried out both in rural and urban environments. Thanks to this extensive background, Pradeep possesses a deep understanding of vulnerable communities, particularly children.
His career began at the grassroots organization SARD working in Mewat, an extremely challenging area. Moving on to NEG-FIRE, he closely worked with Tribal Communities through NGO partnerships across India. During his time at Save the Children India, he led a massive humanitarian response following the devastating Kedarnath floods in Uttarakhand from June 2013 onwards. At Room to Read, Pradeep oversaw the Scaling Up Early Reading Intervention (SERI) program throughout Uttarakhand.
