Professional Experience:
I am a climate change and urban development practitioner with extensive experience bridging policy, research, and programme implementation across government, business and industry, NGOs, and academia. Over the past decade, I have worked at the interface of urban resilience, climate adaptation, and sustainability, managing multi-stakeholder initiatives and contributing to national and regional policy dialogues.
My most recent role was with a distinguished climate philanthropy organization in India, where I served as Associate Lead (Climate). In this capacity, I led programme strategy, managed climate-focused grant portfolios, and facilitated partnerships between philanthropy, grassroots organizations, and research institutions to foster locally grounded climate action. Prior to this, at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), I worked on environment, energy, and sustainability policy advocacy, engaging closely with both government and private sector stakeholders.
Earlier, my experience with Habitat Lab India provided a formative platform to explore sustainable habitats, emphasizing the environmental, economic, and social dimensions of sustainability within the Indian context. I also worked with the Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) on urban governance and smart city initiatives, strengthening my understanding of institutional frameworks and participatory planning.
As an Erasmus Mundus Scholar (2021–2023)—a prestigious EU scholarship awarded to experienced professionals—I pursued an international master’s in Urban Climate and Sustainability across universities in the UK, Finland, Spain, and Germany. This experience offered hands-on exposure to community participation, governance systems, and climate action in the European context, broadening my comparative understanding of how diverse societies address climate challenges.
With my European training and extensive experience in India, I am poised to contribute expertise in climate, sustainability, and development within India and beyond.
