Professional Experience:

I am a legal and social work professional with over a decade of experience in rights-based advocacy, curriculum development, and institutional reform. My work is grounded in a commitment to equity, justice, and inclusion—particularly for marginalized communities such as women, children, and persons with disabilities.

Currently, I serve as a Legal Consultant with SASHA, where I act as an external member of Internal Committees for ten organizations, ensuring compliance with the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace Act, 2013. I conduct capacity-building workshops, lead inquiries, and facilitate awareness initiatives to support the creation of safer, more inclusive workplaces.

Previously, I worked as a Consultant for Partnerships and Curriculum Development at Bhavishyath Counselling, where I designed career education modules for Delhi’s Schools of Specialized Excellence. At CorStone India Foundation, I developed and implemented resilience-based life skills programs for adolescents and parents in Bihar’s government schools.

As Deputy Director at Misaal Foundation, I led organizational strategy and operations, created training modules for grassroots change makers, and spearheaded ‘Citizens Against Hate’—a national initiative supporting families affected by hate crimes. My time at the National Centre for Promotion of Employment of Disabled People (NCPEDP) allowed me to contribute to legal literacy by authoring handbooks on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act and participating in national-level advocacy and consultations.

Earlier in my career, I held roles at the Commonwealth Human Rights Initiative, Koshish (TISS), and the Centre for Equity Studies, where I worked in custodial institutions, coordinated rehabilitation and youth engagement initiatives, and collaborated with child welfare authorities.

Bringing together my training in law and social work, I take an interdisciplinary, field-informed approach to every project I undertake. I am deeply committed to using legal knowledge and community engagement to amplify the voices of those most often left unheard and to contribute meaningfully to systemic change.

Education:

My educational journey reflects a deep commitment to social justice, legal empowerment, and inclusive development. With degrees in commerce, social work, and law from Delhi University, I’ve built an interdisciplinary foundation that supports my work across sectors.

Starting with a B.Com (Hons), I gained a solid grounding in economics and organizational management, which continues to inform my approach to project planning and coordination. My Master’s in Social Work deepened my understanding of systemic inequality and shaped my focus on mental health, institutional care, and the rights of women and persons with disabilities. Through fieldwork practicum, the course helped me to practice interventions as a pilot under the guidance of my professors.

Later, after five years of working with communities and organizations, driven by the need to advocate more effectively for structural change, I pursued an LLB, which equipped me with legal tools to engage in consultations, policy work, and legal interventions. Later my education in law allowed me to play advocacy based roles with confidence. It made me eligible to practice as an advocate and play the current role I am in, External Member on POSH Committees. Each phase of my education has shaped my ability to design inclusive programs and contribute meaningfully to both community initiatives and policy reforms.
