Professional Experience:
A seasoned Public Health Project Management professional with over 11 years of progressive experience across government, international, and private health sectors. My career reflects a strong commitment to advancing public health through disease surveillance, immunization, HIV/AIDS prevention, and non-communicable disease control.
Currently serving as a Surveillance Medical Officer with the World Health Organization (WHO) in Shrawasti, Uttar Pradesh since October 2020, he has been instrumental in designing, implementing, and monitoring vaccine-preventable disease surveillance systems, including AFP, MR, and DPT. Led outbreak investigations and responses, supported COVID-19 testing and vaccination roll outs, and provided technical guidance for cold chain management and phased rollouts. Involved in close coordination with district health authorities and partners, ensuring robust stakeholder engagement, capacity building, and data-driven decision-making.
Prior to WHO, worked with the National Institute for Smart Governance (NISG), supporting the National AIDS Control Program (NACP) across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. As a DNRT Consultant, he empowered District AIDS Prevention and Control Units (DAPCUs) through technical support, training, data analysis, and facilitation of district-level review meetings. Effectively engaged district administrations to support vulnerable groups, facilitated establishment of integrated testing centers, and enhanced HIV service accessibility.
Between 2016 and 2018, served as the District Project Manager for the non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention program under Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences and Technology, Trivandrum. Managed program implementation in Wayanad district, leading school- and community-based interventions, delivering training to frontline health workers, and facilitating multi-sectoral awareness campaigns on NCD prevention. Contributions significantly strengthened district-level response to lifestyle-related health challenges.
Earlier roles include work as a Functional Consultant at Aosta Software Technologies, where he bridged health IT systems with hospital needs, ensuring smooth EMR transitions, user training, and software optimization. My expertise in health information systems was further honed during his time with HISP India and Kerala First Health Services, where managed data analytics, reporting, capacity-building, and real-time monitoring systems. My work on projects such as the Food Security & Nutrition Information System for the Government of Bangladesh (FAO-UN project) showcases ability to work in international public health informatics.
Across all roles, have consistently demonstrated strengths in stakeholder coordination, health systems strengthening, data management (using tools like SPSS, STATA, Power BI), and training delivery.
I have successfully supported the rollout of key immunization and MDA campaigns, including COVID-19 vaccination (achieving >95% coverage in his district), and authored government reports such as the Andhra Pradesh SACS Annual Report.
My educational foundation includes a Master’s in Public Health from SRM University and a Bachelor’s in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery. And is currently pursuing PMP certification and holds certifications in M&E Fundamentals and Frontline Epidemiology (WHO & CDC).
I bring in a unique blend of field experience, data fluency, digital health understanding, and program leadership that makes me well-suited for managing large-scale public health programs.
