Professional Experience:

With over two decades of professional experience in climate change, disaster risk reduction, and environmental planning across Asia.

Throughout my career, I have led high-level consultancies focused on climate risk assessment, climate finance, and policy integration in countries like India, Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, etc. I have worked in many sectors across Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia, and the Philippines. I have provided technical leadership for developing and mainstreaming NAPs and NDCs. My background serves as the lead advisor on climate risk policies, risk assessment, including Loss and Damage Assessment, econometric modelling of climate change at the national level, technical and economic analysis of adaptation measures, including environmental cost of the interventions in urban, rural, agricultural and industrial areas.


During my professional journey, I have carried out climate modeling for various sectors such as urban, agriculture, industrial and economic impact of climate change, I have led 25+ professionals, developed 15+ sustainable and climate-resilient urban and industrial areas, carried out a risk assessment of 700 industries, 400+ urban and industrial areas, 25+ Banking and Financial Institutions, 150+ watersheds (1500+ tanks), 60+ MSMEs for energy efficiency, designed 2000+ km of water networks, proposed 500 MLD of wastewater/ effluent treatment plants, 1000 tonnes of MSW management, planning and implementation of 1 million trees, mass awareness and training to 500+ professionals, 25+ policy and guidelines, am ong others. I believe I have decent understanding of modeling, adaptation expertise for different geographies and sectors, coordinating with various stakeholders, climate finance and policy expertise to deliver this project within time and through participatory approach.

My ability to bridge the gap between global policy frameworks and actionable, country-specific solutions makes me particularly suited for this role. While at GIZ, I understood various European initiatives and provided country-specific solutions in Asia and Africa. I have successfully worked with multi-national and multi-sectoral experts and stakeholders, including line ministries, civil society, multilaterals, and development partners, to ensure sound, politically and implementable solutions. I have led the drafting of numerous technical and policy reports that have been used to inform government decisions and international negotiations. My leadership approach emphasizes inclusive planning, quality assurance, and timely delivery.
